Memberships
We collect the e-mail addresses and names of members who post messages to our online forum, information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations, and display their IP address and/or domain type. The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web page, used to notify consumers about updates to our Web site or organization. It is not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes. However, TimkenAlumni.com may be required by law enforcement or judicial authorities to provide information on individual users to the appropriate governmental authorities. In matters involving a danger to personal or public safety, TimkenAlumni.com may voluntarily provide information the the proper governmental authorities.
Children’s Privacy
Our policy is not to permit anyone under the age of 13 to do business with us. As of April 21, 2000 the children’s Online Privacy Protection Act became effective. The regulations apply to the online collection of personal information from children under the age of 13. The publisher is very sensitive to the issue of children’s privacy and makes every effort to protect the privacy of children using the Internet. Our web site, products, and services are not developed for or directed at children.
